Do we like it?

In two words... not really. Here we have a perfect example of idea overload, below average design, poor finish and short sighted vision. The Enlight Extreme Gamers PC Case is designed to fit into a portion of the market that has been excluded by virtue of some of the inflexibility the product suffers from.

If you want to fit a watercooling system, you will be limited by space, try to add a reasonable Power Supply, and there are doubts it would fit at all, want to replace the AMD/Intel supplied heatsink with something better and you will struggle to get it not to foul the sidepanel.

Another thing Enlight should have taken onboard is that Gamers are a very fickle bunch, a bit like car modders, if you are going to spend all your hard earned money on a kick-ass system, the first thing that is noticed about it is the case that is wrapped round it, and with a paint-job of that calibre it'd be hard to want to show it off to anyone.

Value: Coming in at £60 (ebuyer) without a PSU, the Extreme Gamers PC Case has enough features to justify such a price. The problem is that the implementation of these features is not up to the quality standards one would expect at this price point; as a result, it is hard to consider this case to be 'good value'.

To add insult to injury you will have to shell out extra for both the extreme sidepanel and the LCD fan controller if you want it to be fully loaded, but adding such things rapidly put the case into a higher price bracket, where the likes of the Antec P180 and many other good quality cases sit. To complete our value evaluation, we have to be frank and say, although it feels like a £60 case, it certainly lacks when you take a closer look

Final thoughts

Enlight has tried to attract a portion of the market not yet totally exploited, but a series of poorly implemented ideas have turned a potential hit into a resounding miss. We have no doubt that if Enlight revises a few fatal design flaws in the Extreme Gamers PC, they could get their foot in the gaming market door. Unfortunately, with so many other good quality cases out there at around the same price, they have stalled on the grid.
